Terms of Service
Our full terms of service are being finalized with counsel. Below are the principles that will govern every interaction on the platform.
Verified humans only
All members must verify they are real people before participating. Bot accounts, AI impersonation, and fake profiles are prohibited. Content generated or assisted by AI must be disclosed.
Your keys, your responsibility
Cohoria offers two privacy tiers: Standard (with email recovery and backup codes) and Self-Custody (you hold all keys, no server backup). If Self-Custody keys are lost, data cannot be recovered by anyone. This is by design.
Organization-scoped access
Your data within a Space belongs to that Space. Administrators of one Space cannot access data from another. Cross-Space data leaks are prevented at the database level.
Immutable audit trail
Every sensitive action on the platform is logged in a tamper-evident audit trail. Members can view their own audit history. Logs cannot be edited or deleted.
No algorithmic manipulation
Content on Cohoria is sorted by proximity and time. There are no engagement algorithms, no viral mechanics, and no content recommendations based on behavior. Follower counts, like counts, and trending features do not exist.
Data portability guaranteed
Members can export all their data at any time in standard formats. Account deletion requests are honored within 30 days. Exported data is usable without Cohoria-specific tools.
The complete terms of service will be published before the Franklin pilot launches. These principles are derived from the CivicOS framework and are enforced architecturally, not just contractually.
